Best Wedding Ceremony Songs Gold Coast & Brisbane 2026

Choosing your ceremony pieces can be a drastically different experience for everyone. For some it's exciting and for others it's overwhelming, helloooo analysis paralysis. Some couples start searching for their songs only after they get engaged, whilst others have been dreaming of their song/s decades in advance and others find their choice after a viral movie moment (cue Crazy Rich Asians & Twilight). This post is to give you insight into the most requested aisle songs and ceremony pieces for those key moments (in my experience).

In no particular order:

#1 Can't Help Falling in Love – Elvis Presley

I mean, this song speaks for itself really. A timeless classic by the legend Elvis Presley, with a huge revival in popularity after the release of Crazy Rich Asians in 2018 thanks in no small part to the stunning cover by Kina Grannis. One thing I love about this song from a practical standpoint is that it opens straight into the chorus, so it works beautifully as an entrance song as the impact is there from the very first note without having to wait for it to build.

#2 Young and Beautiful – Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey is an extremely popular artist in the wedding space in general. Her songs give off that timeless cinematic romance feel and it's no surprise really. Lana incorporates full orchestras into her arrangements which gives everything that grand sweeping quality that translates so beautifully to a ceremony.

#3 A Thousand Years – Christina Perri

Twilight fans, assemble. Written specifically for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, this one lives in the credits of the film but has taken on a life of its own as one of the most requested wedding ceremony songs ever. The lyrics were practically made for an aisle moment.

#4 Enchanted – Taylor Swift

The Swifties have well and truly taken over the wedding world and you can't blame them. Enchanted is dreamy, romantic and feels like it was written specifically for walking down an aisle. That bridge alone? Goosebumps every single time.

#5 Canon in D – Pachelbel

The OG. The classic. The one that has been walking brides down the aisle for decades and somehow never gets old. There's a reason it has stood the test of time. It builds beautifully, is instantly recognisable and it just feels like a wedding ceremony. A timeless choice that works for everything from intimate garden ceremonies to grand church weddings.

#6 Turning Page – Sleeping at Last

Twilight fans, you already know this one. This is the song Bella walked down the aisle to in Breaking Dawn and it has been a wedding ceremony staple ever since. It has this incredibly raw and emotional quality that just stops you in your tracks the moment it starts playing and there is not a dry eye in the house by the time it builds. A beautiful choice if you want something that feels deeply intimate and cinematic at the same time.

Choosing your ceremony music is such a personal decision and there is never a right or wrong answer. Whether you go with a timeless classic or a song that has been living in your head rent free since you were a teenager, what matters most is that it feels like you. As a wedding violinist on the Gold Coast and Brisbane, these are the songs I get requested most and I can tell you from experience that no matter which song you choose, those few minutes walking down the aisle will be ones you never forget.
